We have received a flood of engagement stories lately and are anxious to share each one with you. Thanks to Randi for the following story and pictures! Congratulations! "How blessed am I to be engaged to my best friend! My now fiancé, Ryan, proposed on August 12 after a sixteen hour car ride! He’d just graduated from Army helicopter flight school the day before, and our time together was limited before he deployed for Iraq. We had arrived at his parents’ home in Iowa, and decided to go for a walk after the long car ride. He dropped to one knee in a wooded campsite, and asked me to marry him. For the first time in my life, I was completely and utterly speechless! I finally managed multiple very loud and extremely happy “YES” then looked at the ring, only to be amazed at the perfect ring he’d chosen, 'Fawn.' After pondering what makes this ring so ideal, I’ve come to realize that it embodies the things I love most. It resembles the leaves of nature, the fire that cooks the most tasty s’mores, and most dear to me, Ryan’s Aviator wings. So no matter how far away the Army takes him, I’m always reminded that he’s still mine, and will always come home to me. A huge thanks to Mark Schneider for the design of the most beautiful representation of our love, and to the always helpful Dipti for being ever so communicative and kind!"
