The quality and design of our jewelry is something that is very important to us. Everything we create, from conception to finished product, is executed at our shop in Long Beach, California.
Every design begins with Mark's vision and a sketch, which, once perfected on paper, is hand carved by our master jewelers out of a block of wax. At this time, we are able to see how an idea holds up to the physical constraints of a three dimensional object. This wax will become the actual piece of jewelry, so all the structural components have to be addressed and corrected at this stage.
Once approved, the wax is connected to a "wax tree" and cast. Hot metal is poured into the tree and the wax is burned away, replaced by metal.
Our jewelers take the casting and meticulously clean, set and polish the design by hand. The final touch is a careful examination of the design's quality and integrity. No design produced, even of the same style, will ever be identical to the next - each piece a truly unique, beautiful work of art.
