1) Bigger is Better
In the 1980’s it was all about big hair. In 2015, it’s about big bling. In order to embrace the bold necklace trend, it’s important to fully commit to large jewelry. Instead of opting for a “safe” chain or small pendant, choose necklaces that will serve as a focal point. After all, there’s nothing worse than only following a trend halfway.
2) Color is In
If there’s one thing to be learned from the 2015 awards season, it’s that color is making a comeback in a big way. Instead of opting for sparkle that comes in the form of traditional diamonds, choose pieces that add an unexpected pop of color. In fact, Cate Blanchett’s outfit for the Oscars only had one element of color: her turquoise necklace. However, using jewelry as a festive pop of color isn’t the only way to go.
