ABALONE PEARL TOUCAN SKETCH

Mark Schneider’s process often begins with a gemstone that speaks to him and acts as a catalyst inciting the development of his design. The stone can serve as the cynosure of the piece, dramatized by Mark’s unparalleled sense of composition and his talent for unexpected setting. Mark found this unique abalone pearl to be a rich source of inspiration. The intense luster, iridescent play of colors, and unusual horn shape attracted Mark to this beautiful pearl. This design uses the pearl as the beak of a sleeping tucan, adorned with pave set black, white, and canary diamonds.
